Job Summary:
This is an administrative position that supports our Service Department. This position oversees and manages the daily inventory operations for our technicians and fleet of vehicles. The function of this position mandates attention to detail and a high degree of organizational ability. The goal is to contribute to the service department with quality control and inventory policies. As our Inventory/Parts Control Manager, you will be expected to conduct cycle counting accurately and efficiently, resolve inventory issues, and assist with production and data entry. You will maintain constant communication with field technicians as well as management and assist with general warehouse inventory duties as required.
Job Responsibilities:
· Use of company software to monitor demand and document inventory
· Place orders to replenish stock avoiding insufficiencies or excessive surplus
· Maintain detailed records of vehicle fleet
· Coordinate servicing and inspection as well as regular vehicle maintenance
· Maintain physical and mobile warehouse inventory management
· Extensive knowledge of industry pricing and markups
· Make all purchases required by operations and assure that the company is consistently getting the most from its expenditures
Job Duties:
· Coordinate and plan necessary purchases with Sales Department and Technicians
· Obtain and evaluate quotations with respect to price specifications and delivery schedules to determine the best source of supply
· Negotiate prices and discounts with vendors to order supplies, materials, and equipment at the best possible prices.
· Prepare and control purchase orders and invoices.
· Review receiving and delivery documents for compliance with the Purchase Orders
· Expedite shipment of equipment and supplies, when necessary
· Arrange for the storage of tool, equipment, and vehicles when not in use
· Keep informed on prospective suppliers, their prices, qualifications, etc. Advise management desirable new suppliers
Required Skills/Abilities:
· Proven experience as inventory or parts manager or similar position
· Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methods
· Ability to accurately track inventory and create reports
· Excellent organizational and planning skills
· Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities
Education and Experience:
· Highschool diploma or equivalent
· At least three to five years related experience required
· Experience with Service Titan a plus
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 – $22.00 per hour
