TRC Insights, LLC, a market research company located in Ft. Washington, PA (a suburb of Philadelphia), is searching for an entry-level data/statistical analyst (title of ‘Junior Analyst’) to join their analytics department.
An analyst at TRC…
Independently determines the methodology and conducts analyses on (primarily) survey data
Isn’t simply a task-taker, but works thoughtfully to solve problems and arrive at conclusions
Clearly communicates (written & orally) the implication of results to non-analysts
Plays a large role on projects, interacting with both internal colleagues and external clients
Juggles multiple projects at a time and ensures project deadlines and client needs are met
Is excited to work with a raw (uncleaned) datafile to extract information
Is comfortable with math and numbers, and using them to answer questions and tell stories
Is highly detail-oriented – can catch discrepancies in the data, both real and human error
Doesn’t settle for the first or most obvious conclusion; rather questions and digs to discover true insights
Is inquisitive and self-motivated to research, discover, and utilize new methodologies and technologies
Has unique perspectives and skills that contribute to making the team better
Qualified candidates should have…
Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, or other quantitative field
Proficiency in applied statistics and machine learning
Experience working with raw datafiles
Experience answering questions with data
Proficient data wrangling and data cleaning skills
Programming experience, particularly Python and R
Proficiency in Excel
This position is entry-level; prior work experience not required.

TRC is operating on a hybrid in-office/remote work schedule. Employees are typically in-office 1-2 times a week. Frequency is negotiable for those long-distance.
