Since 2010, the Pennsylvania Health Access Network (PHAN) has been fighting for access to affordable, high-quality, equitable healthcare for all Pennsylvanians. That means pushing for real change like lowering prescription drug costs, ending harmful billing practices by large hospitals and insurers, reducing medical debt, and much more.
PHAN works to ensure that all Pennsylvanians have a voice when decisions are made that will impact their communities’ health. We have a proven track record of building power in local communities to fight for a better healthcare system, whether it’s pushing back against the high cost of health insurance, winning Medicaid Expansion, or standing with seniors against corporate decisions that interfere with getting life-saving care. We build power where it matters the most: in local communities all across Pennsylvania.
The Digital Organizer will be a key part of PHAN’s advocacy work, supporting state and federal policy campaigns on issues like the high cost of prescription drugs, strengthening Medicaid, reducing medical debt, and more. Reporting to PHAN’s Communications Director, the Digital Organizer will work collaboratively with PHAN’s staff to coordinate PHAN’s digital strategy, increase digital engagement with our grassroots base of supporters, and turn digital engagement into offline action. The Digital Organizer will use social media, digital advocacy, and other digital tools to build our base of grassroots supporters and amplify our campaigns to expand and protect access to high-quality, affordable, equitable healthcare in Pennsylvania. This is a remote position but the candidate must live in Pennsylvania.
