Community General Manager

Job PurposeThe Community Manager is responsible for the operational aspects and the continued profitability of a community and serves as the day-to-day point of contact for residents. The Community Manager is involved with capital improvements, administrative activities, marketing, leasing and home sales of new and pre-owned homes, property maintenance, budgeting, staff management and positive resident relations.

*Duties and Responsibilities*

Investigate and resolve resident service issues.
Develop marketing strategies and maintain effective advertising to attract prospective residents to community
Partner with Sales/Marketing teams to attract new residents
Provide excellent customer service that contributes to the positive living experience and retention of current residents.
Manage the rent collection process, including depositing income from home sites and filing to collect on delinquent debts
Oversee the eviction process.
Monitor and manage monthly operating budgets and prepare monthly reports on P & L variances
Oversee capital expenditure improvements.
Ensure that the property is clean and attractive in order to maximize occupancy.
Show homes when they become available.


A Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Hospitality or Business, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
5+ years of property management experience; experience in a multi-family and/or manufactured home setting is preferred.
Previous use of Salesforce or Yardi is a plus.
Prior sales and marketing experience preferred.
Strong operational, collaborative and leadership skills.
General knowledge of repair and maintenance duties (for work delegation).
Thorough knowledge of fair housing federal, state and local laws.
Availability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

*Working Conditions*The Community Manager works in an office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, printers, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. The Community Manager also spends time in the manufactured home community, where there may be possible exposure to communicable diseases and infection, potential injury from transferring, repositioning, or lifting residents, exposure to latex, possible exposure to blood-borne pathogens, possible exposure to various chemical, infectious, or biological hazards, and possible exposure to pets.
