Primary responsibility for all patient scheduling functions at the riverfront.
Contacts and schedules patients for outpatient evaluations and treatments.
Coordinates initial appointments with inpatient case managers.
Collaborates and coordinates with the day hospital coordinators to complete patient’s schedule.
Collaborates with the therapy manager and the main hospital staffing coordinator to ensure appropriate staffing levels to meet the volume of patient referrals.
Consults with the front desk supervisor and/or therapy manager regarding any highly unusual requests or needs.
Communicates with the individual therapists regarding any changes to their schedule.
Re-schedules and alters patient schedules dependent on cancelations and other interruptions.
Maintains schedule for all therapists for outpatient.
In the event a therapist “calls out”, makes adjustments to the schedule to ensure that all coverage needs are met. May request coverage assistance from the main hospital. Works with therapists to manage coverage needs. Consults with therapy manager when needed.
Maintain shuttle list.
Informs Magee physician if unable to reach patient.
Assists with initial registration insurance verification intakes and payments as needed.
Provides all other duties as assigned.
Primary Customers or Key Working Relationships:
Interfaces with patients and families regarding schedules, transportation arrangements, and other logistical issues.
Works collaboratively with therapy manger, program director, front desk supervisor, and day hospital coordinator to ensure appropriate staffing levels to meet changing needs.
Interacts with all therapists at the Riverfront, the scheduler, and supervisor at the main hospital regarding staffing requirements.
Consults regularly with front desk supervisor and therapy manager regarding unusual requests or needs.
High School Graduate
1) Experience in health care field with knowledge of hospital systems.
2) Experience in computer operations. EPIC experience is a plus.
